  • 2 large Eggs Bind the ingredients together and add moisture.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8x8-inch baking pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar and melted butter until well mixed.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt, and fold gently until combined.
  • If using, fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the edges are set but the center is still soft.
  • Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Slice into squares and serve as desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to four days. Can be frozen for up to three months.
