Chicken Cutlet Ingredients

  • 1 lb Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts Approximately 2 breasts.
  • 1 cup Seasoned Breadcrumbs For coating the chicken.
  • 2 large Eggs For egg wash.
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour For dredging.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt To season the chicken.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper Freshly ground.
  • 0.5 cup Vegetable Oil For frying.
  • 4 slices Sandwich Bread Ciabatta or whole grain recommended.
  • 1 handful Fresh Lettuce Leaves For crunch.
  • 1 medium Tomato Sliced.
  • 0.25 cup Mayonnaise For spreading.

Instructions
 

  • Gather all ingredients and prepare your workspace.
  • Pound chicken breasts to about ½ inch thick between plastic wrap.
  • Season chicken with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Set up dredging station: flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, breadcrumbs in a third.
  • Dredge chicken in flour, dip in eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Fry chicken cutlets for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Transfer cooked cutlets to paper towels to drain excess oil.
  • Toast bread slices lightly.
  • Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread.
  • Assemble the sandwich: lettuce, chicken cutlet, sliced tomato, and top with another slice of bread.
  • Cut sandwiches in half and serve immediately.

Notes

For variations, consider adding avocado, jalapeños, or different sauces.
