  • 4 cups All-Purpose Flour Adjust based on humidity.
  • 1 cup Sourdough Starter Active and bubbly.
  • 1 cup Milk Warm slightly.
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter Melted.
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Ground Cinnamon For filling.
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar For filling.
  • 1 large Egg

Instructions
 

  • Prepare your sourdough starter to ensure it is active and bubbly.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk and granulated sugar until dissolved. Add sourdough starter and egg, mixing well.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture until a shaggy dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Shape the dough into a ball, place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
  • Prepare the cinnamon filling by mixing softened butter, cinnamon, and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle about 16x12 inches.
  • Spread the cinnamon filling evenly over the dough, leaving a small border.
  • Roll the dough tightly from one long edge and cut into 12 equal pieces.
  • Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30-60 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  • Prepare a glaze by mixing powdered sugar with milk, drizzle over rolls after baking.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to two days or refrigerate for longer freshness.
