Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with non-stick spray or oil.
Cut the bread into 1-inch cubes.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk the eggs until fully combined.
Add the milk, mustard, salt, and pepper to the eggs and mix well.
Layer half of the bread cubes in the greased baking dish.
Sprinkle half of the cheese over the first layer of bread.
Pour half of the egg mixture over the bread and cheese layer.
Repeat the layering with the remaining bread, cheese, and egg mixture.
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
Let the casserole rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
