  • 0.5 teaspoon Sea Salt Adjust according to taste.
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black Pepper Freshly cracked for best flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed for brightness.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Wash the broccoli thoroughly and chop into florets.
  • Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
  • Drizzle the seasoning mixture over the broccoli and toss to coat.
  • Roast the broccoli for 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes.
  • Gently smash each floret with a fork or glass.
  • Drizzle fresh lemon juice over the smashed broccoli before serving.
