Instructions
 

  • Start by shredding the sharp cheddar cheese using a box grater or a food processor.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and mayonnaise. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the shredded cheddar cheese to the mixture and gently fold it in.
  • Incorporate the diced pimentos into the cheese mixture and stir until evenly distributed.
  • Add Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper (if using). Mix well and adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper.
  • Transfer the pimento cheese to an airtight container and chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour before serving.
