  • 1 pound Ground Beef Lean ground beef for a balanced dish.
  • 1 medium Onion Finely chopped.
  • 2-3 cloves Garlic Mince for flavor.
  • 1 cup Elbow Macaroni Uncooked.
  • 2 cups Cheddar Cheese Shredded.
  • 1 cup Milk Full-fat for richness.
  • 1 tablespoon Yellow Mustard For tangy flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Ketchup For sweetness and acidity.

  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs Preferably seasoned.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef for 5-7 minutes.
  • Add the chopped onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  • In a separate pot, boil salted water and cook the elbow macaroni until al dente, then drain.
  • Reduce heat to low and add the cooked macaroni to the beef mixture.
  • In a bowl, whisk together milk, mustard, and ketchup, then pour over the beef and macaroni.
  • Add 1.5 cups of cheddar cheese to the skillet and mix until melted.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs on top.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is melted and breadcrumbs are golden.
  • Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
