Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef for 5-7 minutes.
Add the chopped onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
In a separate pot, boil salted water and cook the elbow macaroni until al dente, then drain.
Reduce heat to low and add the cooked macaroni to the beef mixture.
In a bowl, whisk together milk, mustard, and ketchup, then pour over the beef and macaroni.
Add 1.5 cups of cheddar cheese to the skillet and mix until melted.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs on top.
Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is melted and breadcrumbs are golden.
Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
