Uncooked, rinsed under cold water.

Instructions
Rinse the long-grain rice under cold water in a fine-mesh sieve. Allow it to drain.
Melt the unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Add the drained rice to the saucepan, stirring to coat it in the garlic butter. Toast the rice for 2-3 minutes.
Pour in the chicken broth, stir in salt and pepper, and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-18 minutes until liquid is absorbed.
Remove from heat and let sit covered for 5 minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork and stir in the Parmesan cheese.
Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
