Instructions
Rinse 1 cup of long-grain rice thoroughly under cold running water and set aside to drain.

Stir in 2-3 minced garlic cloves and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
Add the rinsed rice to the saucepan and stir to coat the grains with the butter and onion mixture.
Pour in 2 cups of chicken or vegetable broth and season with 1 teaspoon of salt and black pepper to taste.
Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for 18-20 minutes.
Remove from heat and let sit covered for an additional 5 minutes.
Fluff the rice with a fork and sprinkle with chopped fresh herbs before serving.
