Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large skillet, cook 1 pound of ground beef over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
Drain excess grease and add 1 packet of taco seasoning. Stir well.
Add 1/4 cup of water and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Prepare a 9x13-inch baking dish by greasing it lightly.
Layer 2-3 tortillas at the bottom of the dish.
Spread half of the refried beans over the tortillas.
Add half of the seasoned ground beef mixture, followed by 1 cup of shredded cheese.
Repeat the layering with another set of tortillas, remaining refried beans, ground beef, and cheese.
Top with remaining tortillas and pour 1 cup of taco sauce over the top.
Sprinkle remaining cheese on top and cover with aluminum foil.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
Let it sit for 10 minutes before slicing and serve with garnishes.
