Instructions
 

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks. Brown for 5-7 minutes until no longer pink.
  • Drain excess fat from the skillet. Add finely chopped onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes until translucent.
  • Add diced green bell pepper and cook for another 3-4 minutes. Stir in minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
  • Pour in Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and mustard. Stir well and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle cheese over the mixture and cover to melt.
  • Prepare hamburger buns, toasting if desired. Scoop the filling onto the bottom half of each bun.
  • Top with the other half of the buns and serve warm.
