Dip Ingredients

  • 2 cups Fresh Spinach Can use frozen, drained spinach.
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese Softened for creamy texture.
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese Mozzarella or cheddar.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced for flavor.
  • 1 pinch Black Pepper Enhances flavor.

Instructions
 

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  • Add olive oil and salt to the yeast mixture, then gradually mix in the flour until a shaggy dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  • Prepare the spinach dip by mixing cream cheese, garlic, spinach, shredded cheese, and black pepper in a bowl.
  • Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
  • Cut the dough into 2-inch squares. Place 1 tablespoon of spinach dip in the center of each square and seal.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and arrange the filled dough balls in a Christmas tree shape on a greased baking sheet.
  • Cover and let rise for another 20-30 minutes until slightly puffed.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving warm.

Notes

This dish can be customized with different cheeses or added ingredients like artichokes for variety.
