Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
Add granulated sugar and brown sugar to the mashed bananas, mixing well.
Incorporate melted unsalted butter into the banana-sugar mixture.
Crack one large egg into the mixture and whisk until combined.
Sift together all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
Fold in the chopped nuts evenly into the batter.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Let the loaf cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Once cooled, slice and serve as desired.
