  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter Adds rich, creamy flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt For seasoning the water.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper Adds subtle warmth.
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped Fresh Parsley Optional, for freshness and color.

Instructions
 

  • 1. Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil over high heat.
  • 2. Add 1 teaspoon of salt to the boiling water.
  • 3. Add the 8 ounces of dried egg noodles and cook according to package instructions (7-10 minutes) until al dente.
  • 4. While the noodles cook, melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
  • 5. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta cooking water, then drain the noodles.
  • 6. Transfer the drained noodles back to the pot or a mixing bowl and pour the melted butter over them.
  • 7. If needed, add reserved pasta water to achieve desired consistency.
  • 8. Season with ground black pepper and stir to combine. If using, sprinkle with chopped parsley.
  • 9. Serve immediately while hot.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. Reheat with a splash of water or broth.
