Ingredients
  

Rice Ingredients

  • 1 cup Long Grain White Rice Rinse under cold water before cooking.
  • 2 cups Water Essential for cooking the rice evenly.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Cilantro Finely chopped.
  • 2 tablespoons Lime Juice Freshly squeezed from one medium lime.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust according to taste.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil Optional, helps prevent sticking.

Instructions
 

  • Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed rice and water. Add olive oil if using.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
  • Add salt and stir gently.
  • Cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 18-20 minutes without lifting the lid.
  • Remove from heat and let sit covered for 5 minutes.
  • Fluff the rice with a fork.
  • Add cilantro and lime juice, folding gently to combine.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  • Serve warm as a side dish or base for your favorite protein.

Notes

For variations, consider adding diced jalapeños for heat or mixing in black beans for added texture.
