Meatloaf Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds Ground Beef Use 80/20 for a juicy outcome.
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs Plain or seasoned breadcrumbs work well.
  • 2 large Eggs Lightly beaten before adding.
  • 1 medium Onion Finely chopped.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper

Gravy Ingredients

  • 2 cups Beef Broth
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Sauté the finely chopped onion in a skillet over medium heat until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, sautéed onions, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish or lined loaf pan and shape into a loaf.
  • In a saucepan, combine beef broth and cornstarch over medium heat, whisking until thickened. Adjust seasoning as desired.
  • Bake the meatloaf for approximately 1 hour or until it reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
  • Pour half of the prepared gravy over the meatloaf about 15 minutes before it's done baking.
  • Let the meatloaf rest for about 10 minutes after removing it from the oven.
  • Slice the meatloaf and serve topped with the remaining gravy.

Notes

For variations, consider adding cheese, vegetables, or spices to the meat mixture.
