Instructions
 

  • Gather all ingredients, ensuring chicken thighs are thawed if previously frozen.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Whisk until well blended and set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  • Add chicken thighs, skin-side down, and sear for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  • Flip the chicken and cook for an additional 5 minutes until juices begin to release.
  • Reduce heat to medium and pour the honey-garlic mixture over the chicken, coating evenly.
  • Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes, checking that the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • Remove the lid during the last few minutes to thicken the sauce, spooning it over the chicken.
  • Once cooked, let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Transfer to a platter, drizzle with remaining sauce, and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
  • Serve warm with your choice of sides like rice or steamed vegetables.
