Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare a 9x13 inch baking dish by greasing it lightly.
If using fresh peaches, wash, peel, and slice them. If using canned peaches, drain and reserve some syrup.
Combine peaches with brown sugar and cinnamon in a mixing bowl, let sit for 10 minutes.
Melt the butter and set aside to cool slightly.
Pour the dry cake mix over the peaches in the baking dish without mixing.
Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix.
Pour water over the entire dish without mixing.
Sprinkle extra brown sugar and cinnamon on top if desired.
Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
Let cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
Serve warm, optionally with ice cream.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
