Ingredients
  

Meat and Patties

  • 1.5 pounds Ground Beef Lean ground beef, around 80/20 fat ratio.
  • 0.5 cup Breadcrumbs Plain or seasoned breadcrumbs.
  • 1 large Egg Beaten.
  • 1 medium Onion Finely chopped.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt To taste.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper To taste.
  • 2 cups Beef Broth Low-sodium recommended.
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Flour For thickening the gravy.

Garnish

  • 0.25 cup Fresh Parsley Chopped, for garnish.

Instructions
 

  • Gather all your ingredients on a clean work surface.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, and chopped onion.
  • Add garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  • Shape the mixture into oval patties, about ¾ inch thick.
  • In a skillet, heat oil and brown the patties on both sides for 3-4 minutes.
  • Transfer the browned patties to the slow cooker.
  • In a bowl, whisk together beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and flour until smooth.
  • Pour the broth mixture over the patties in the slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  • Check gravy consistency and thicken if necessary before serving.
  • Serve the patties with gravy over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles, garnished with parsley.

Notes

For variations, consider adding sautéed mushrooms or using ground turkey for a lighter option.
