Instructions
 

  • Grease the bottom and sides of the slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray or butter.
  • In a medium bowl, combine caramel bits and unsalted butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
  • Pour the caramel mixture into the bottom of the greased slow cooker, spreading it evenly.
  • Evenly distribute pecan halves over the caramel layer.
  • Measure out the chocolate chips and sprinkle them generously over the pecans.
  • Cover the slow cooker with its lid and set it on low for 2 to 3 hours.
  • After about 2 hours, gently stir the mixture to combine the melted chocolate and caramel with the pecans.
  • Once everything has melted and combined, let it sit for about 10 minutes to cool slightly.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and shape them into turtle shapes if desired.
  • While still warm, sprinkle a pinch of flaky sea salt on top of each turtle.
  • Allow the turtles to cool completely at room temperature before enjoying.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or refrigerate for a firmer texture.
