  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil To prevent sticking and add flavor.
  • 2 large Eggs To bind the spaghetti together.
  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese For flavor and richness.
  • 1 pound Ground Beef or Turkey Main protein for the filling.
  • 1 small Onion, finely chopped Adds sweetness and depth.
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced For aroma and taste.
  • 1 can (15 ounces) Tomato Sauce Provides moisture and flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning Enhances flavor profile.
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese Creates a gooey filling.
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste Essential seasonings.
  • Chopped Fresh Parsley or Basil, for garnish Optional for color and freshness.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked spaghetti with olive oil, eggs, and half of the grated Parmesan cheese. Mix well.
  • Grease a 9-inch pie dish. Press the spaghetti mixture into the bottom and up the sides of the dish.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or turkey until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
  • Stir in the tomato sauce and Italian seasoning. Simmer for about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Pour the meat and cheese mixture into the spaghetti crust, spreading it evenly.
  • Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese on top.
  • Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  • Let it cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley or basil.

Notes

Feel free to customize the fillings based on your preferences. This dish can also be made ahead of time and frozen.
