Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Slice the baguette in half lengthwise using a serrated knife.
  • Place the baguette halves on a baking sheet, cut side up. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil over each half.
  • Sprinkle a pinch of salt and pepper over the olive oil.
  • Bake the baguette for 5 to 7 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
  • Slice the fresh mozzarella cheese into thick rounds.
  • Slice the ripe tomatoes into thick rounds.
  • Remove the baguette from the oven and let it cool slightly.
  • Layer the mozzarella slices on the toasted baguette halves.
  • Top with tomato slices, then sprinkle with fresh basil leaves.
  • Sprinkle red pepper flakes over the top.
  • Drizzle balsamic glaze over the assembled baguettes.
  • Finish with a drizzle of olive oil before slicing into portions.
