Ingredients
  

Eggs

  • 4 large Eggs Fresh eggs are recommended for best results.

Water

  • 1-2 cups Water Amount depends on pot size; ensure it doesn't touch the basket.

Ice Water

  • 1 bowl Ice Water Optional for cooling the eggs after steaming.

Salt

  • 1 pinch Salt Optional for flavor enhancement.

Seasonings

  • Black Pepper, Paprika, Hot Sauce Optional for flavor enhancement.

Instructions
 

  • Prepare your steaming setup by filling a pot with water, ensuring it reaches about one to two inches high. Place a steaming basket or rack inside the pot.
  • Bring the water to a boil, cover the pot with a lid, and turn the heat to high.
  • Once boiling, carefully arrange the eggs in the steaming basket without overcrowding.
  • Cover the pot and reduce the heat to medium. Steam for 6-7 minutes for soft-boiled, 8-10 minutes for medium-boiled, or 11-13 minutes for hard-boiled eggs.
  • Prepare a bowl of ice water while the eggs are steaming.
  • When done, transfer the eggs to the ice water for 5-10 minutes to cool.
  • Peel the eggs and enjoy as desired.
