Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Wash and peel the sweet potatoes, then cut them into uniform chunks.
Place sweet potatoes in a pot, cover with water, add a pinch of salt, and boil until fork-tender (15-20 minutes).
In a bowl, combine pecans, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt for the streusel topping.
Add softened butter to the pecan mixture and mix until crumbly.
Drain sweet potatoes, return to pot, and mash with milk, remaining butter, and cinnamon.
Spread mashed sweet potatoes in a greased baking dish.
Sprinkle the pecan streusel topping evenly over the sweet potatoes.
Bake for 25-30 minutes until the topping is golden brown.
Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Serve warm as a side dish or main course.
