Ingredients
  

Bread

  • 6 slices Hearty Bread (Sourdough or Whole Grain) Thickly sliced for crunch and support.

Cheese

  • 1 cup Mixed Shredded Cheese (Cheddar, Mozzarella, Gruyère) For a gooey texture.

Fresh Tomatoes

  • 2 medium Ripe Tomatoes Sliced evenly.

Butter

  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter For spreading on the bread.

Salt and Pepper

  • to taste Salt For seasoning the tomatoes.
  • to taste Black Pepper For seasoning the tomatoes.

Optional Add-ins

  • Fresh Herbs (Basil, Spinach) For added flavor.
  • Garlic Powder or Hot Sauce For extra flavor.

Instructions
 

  • Gather all ingredients and prepare your workspace.
  • Spread butter on one side of the first slice of bread.
  • Place the buttered side down on a preheated skillet over medium heat.
  • Add a layer of mixed cheeses on top of the bread.
  • Add sliced tomatoes on top of the cheese and season with salt and pepper.
  • Butter one side of the second slice of bread and place it buttered-side up on top of the tomatoes.
  • Flip the sandwich carefully and cook until the bottom is golden.
  • Add more cheese and another layer of tomatoes, then repeat the process with the third slice of bread.
  • Cook until the top slice is golden and the cheese is melted.
  • Let the sandwich rest for a minute, then slice and serve warm.

Notes

For variations, consider adding caramelized onions, different cheeses, or fresh herbs.
