Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Knife
  • Cutting Board

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2-3 medium Russet Potatoes Peeled and cut into fries.
  • 1-2 tablespoons Olive Oil For coating the fries.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt To season the fries.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper Freshly ground.

Optional Seasonings

  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Optional for added flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Optional for a smoky flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper Optional for heat.

Instructions

  • Begin by preparing your potatoes. Rinse them under cold water, peel, and cut into even strips, about ¼ inch thick.
  • Soak the potato strips in a large bowl of cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the dried potato strips with olive oil and toss until evenly coated.
  • Season the fries with salt and black pepper, and any additional seasonings you prefer. Toss again to distribute.
  • Place the seasoned fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • Once golden brown and crispy, remove the fries from the air fryer and let them cool for a couple of minutes before serving.
  • Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

For variations, try adding Parmesan cheese, fresh herbs, or different spices to customize your fries.
