Homemade Cheesy Tater Tots Made in the Air Fryer
These crispy, cheesy tater tots are made in the air fryer for a guilt-free snack that everyone will love.

Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 2 pounds Russet Potatoes Peeled and diced into small cubes.
- 1 cup Shredded Cheese Use a cheese that melts well, like cheddar or mozzarella.
- 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour Helps bind the mixture.
- 2-3 pieces Green Onions Chopped.
- 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste.
- 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper Adjust to taste.
- as needed spray Cooking Spray For air fryer basket.
Instructions
- Peel and dice the russet potatoes into small, even cubes.
- Place the diced potatoes into a large pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook for 10-15 minutes until fork-tender.
- Drain the potatoes and let them cool for a few minutes.
- Transfer the cooled potatoes to a mixing bowl and mash until smooth.
- Add shredded cheese, chopped green onions, flour, salt, and pepper to the mashed potatoes. Mix until well combined.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Roll the potato mixture into bite-sized balls and flatten slightly to form tater tots.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the tater tots in a single layer.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the air fryer and let cool for a couple of minutes before serving.
