Perfect Air Fryer Grilled Cheese

Ingredients
Bread
- 2 slices Bread of choice (sourdough, whole grain, or white) Choose sturdy bread that can hold the cheese.
Cheese
- 2-3 ounces Cheese blend (cheddar, mozzarella, American) Adjust based on preference for cheesiness.
Butter
- 1-2 tablespoons Unsalted butter Spread on the outside of the bread.
Seasoning
- Garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika Optional for extra flavor.
Optional Fillings
- Sliced tomatoes, cooked spinach, or avocado Optional for added nutrition and taste.
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- On the unbuttered side of one slice, layer the cheese evenly.
- Add any optional fillings on top of the cheese.
- Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side facing out.
- Place the sandwich in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for about 5 minutes, checking for a golden-brown crust.
- Remove the sandwich and let it rest for a minute before slicing.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or side.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer.
